If you added Deepmist.deepmist thats just for sc2, since I didn't get a friend request I assume that's what you did. That way doesn't require approval but the real-id does, my bnet email is:
deep mist @ com cas t dot ne t
without the spaces and dot is . obviously. The email is what gives you access to people across games.
Aldrin is playing on his roomates account: skalenol.ken

Me/AJ and me/Matt played today. Opponents were alot tougher and mostly went 50/50 even tho I'd say both those guys are better than Aldrin. AJ is prolly about the same level as me, Matt just needs more time to learn the game, he does well early game.
I'm finally starting to keep up with the game. I can keep my minerals and gas from shooting up over 2k each, I almost feel like I am getting the speed but I still have alot to learn on strategy and timing.

You guys will get tired of the game by the time it comes out and then we wont have people to play with. I say nerdfest lan party when it comes out.

Joe, if you have internet access but can't play for whatever reason, try checking out Livestream or Xfire for live streams of the top pros. Pretty interesting stuff.
The game is actually very watchable...Blizzard struck gold on this one. The game just feels like Starcraft right out of the gate. It will supplant the old one, I'm sure.

I've had streams pretty much constantly running on my comp since the beta was released. One of my favorite uses of my new dual screens is having a gaming stream on one monitor while I do whatever on the second.
Don't worry Brian, you will get sick of this game way before I do. It's replacing WoW as my multiplayer game of choice. I played WoW up until about a month ago when the last arena season ended.
I just watched a guy beat David Kim with Phoenix massing against zerg. David Kim is a developer and he's been running a rampage on bnet in beta, nearly unbeatable.

early game is easy, especially with toss. trying to learn the other races a little better, and strategy can be tricky later game. need some work on unit strengths and weaknesses, and the best unit counters to each. unfortunately I haven't had any time this week to play =/, what with having a newborn at all . maybe I'll check out some of the pro videos.

Those without access: apparently a new wave of beta invites went out today, but NOT via e-mail. You would have the game enabled on your battle.net account page if you received an invite. No, I didn't get one...just thought I would share.

the battle.net account is different from anything used previously on warcraft/diablo/starcraft, so you would need to create a new account if you don't have one already. also, in order to sign up for the beta, you'll need to have a game attached to the battle.net account. if you have an old diablo/starcraft/warcraft game laying around with the cd key, that's all you'll need.

Everyone who has an active account check your email for a key to give to a friend, I figure I'll toss mine on AJ or something since he's playing so much. Jimmy can give his to Brandon.

The issue got resolved. I logged the key and added the game, have to wait until I get home to register my name on the b.net service. Thanks again Joe! (And Matt, for hooking us all up beforehand!)
